The Colombia River Knife and Tool Company M16-13T was designed by Kit Carson, who became famous for his custom titanium frame M16s. The handles, which form the open-build frame, are CNC machined from 6AL4V titanium. The result is a better strength-to-weight ratio than steel or aluminum, and an almost indestructible frame. The titanium frame is minimally ceramic bead-blast finished to enhance grip. These are special knives, designed by the military for special forces use. The spear point design is timeless. One-hand opening and closing is quick and easy. The M16 -14SF Special Forces Knife is our light weight utility version, with a 3 1/2 inch spear point blade, with an overall length of 81/4 inches. It also features our exclusive patented AutoLAWKS automatic safety, which turns the folder into a virtual fixed blades automatically, and a premium AUS 8 stainless steel blade has razor sharp and triple point serrated edges standard, with our combination patented Veff serrations. The titanium handle is preferred for its light weight construction. All knives in this series are equipped with clip options that allow four-position carry.
